Ryan was pulled from his Mother's womb on July 1st,
1978. He weighed 9-1/2 lbs. Because of his size, he was delivered by
caesarean. His Mother, Marjorie, and I had gone through weeks of Lamaze
classes so he could have a more natural birth. I had passed out during
"the film". While I was waiting and Marjorie was having labor induced,
for several days the week before he came into this world, I read Jaws
II. That didn't seem particularly disturbing until I remembered that I
had read the original Jaws while waiting for my father to die in the
Parkland Hospital in Dallas. (That's the same hospital where Kennedy
